Biography Momal Khan specializes her practice in defense of medical professionals, carriers, and organizations. Ms. Khan joined the firm in March 2026. Ms. Khan draws on her biology background to bridge the gap between the law and medicine, with an eye for nuances in each. Prior to joining Donohue Brown Smyth, Ms. Khan worked for a national oral surgery carrier, reaching defense verdicts for oral surgeons across the country in matters ranging from wrongful death, missed cancer diagnoses, and life altering infections. During law school, she concentrated her studies in trial advocacy and dispute resolution, competed in moot court and mock trial competitions, and served as an intern for the First District Appellate Court of Illinois under Justice Jesse G. Reyes, where she gained valuable experience in appellate advocacy. Ms. Khan is a passionate advocate for marginalized groups and the underprivileged, dedicating her time to pro bono work with organizations across Chicago. In her free time, she loves to shop or learn a new recipe.
