Biography
Ejulius (EJ) Adorno joined Donohue Brown Smyth LLC as an associate attorney in July 2024. His practice concentrates in medical malpractice and institutional liability.
Prior to joining DBS, Mr. Adorno worked at another Chicago law firm where he gained extensive experience defending commercial personal injury actions. Mr. Adorno also spent four years as a Cook County State’s Attorney where he litigated hundreds of motions and trials throughout Cook County and wrote several criminal appeals briefs. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
During law school, Mr. Adorno worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Marvin E. Aspen in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He obtained his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2018 and completed his undergrad at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015.
Mr. Adorno was born and raised in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood. He enjoys watching Cubs games, hiking, and reading sci-fi books in his free time.
