Biography
Jack Naliwajko is an Associate whose practice focuses on insurance and municipality defense as well as general liability litigation. He represents municipalities, insurers, and corporate clients in a broad range of matters, including automobile and trucking negligence, construction and premises liability, municipal liability, medical malpractice, and other complex civil litigation. He joined Donohue Brown Smyth in March 2026. Jack has provided exceptional results for clients including successful motions for summary judgment in Cook and collar counties.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Naliwajko practiced at Chicago‑based law firms, where he independently managed cases through all phases of litigation, from inception through resolution. His experience includes extensive motion practice, discovery, party and expert depositions, client reporting, and advising claims professionals and municipal general counsels on litigation strategy and exposure management.
Before attending law school, Mr. Naliwajko worked as an insurance adjuster for a third-party administrator and worked as a department coordinator in an academic hospital.
Mr. Naliwajko earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2022 and his Bachelor of Arts from Benedictine University in 2018.
In his free time, Mr. Naliwajko enjoys playing sports and working in his family garden with his wife and children. Jack also enjoys traveling to cheer for his daughter who competes in collegiate water polo and rugby.
