Biography
Samantha Lowe focuses her practice on the defense of hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers in medical malpractice lawsuits. Ms. Lowe joined the firm in July 2025. She has extensive defense experience and prides herself as a fierce advocate for her clients.
Prior to joining Donohue Brown Smyth LLC, Ms. Lowe worked at a Chicago medical malpractice defense firm where she gained extensive experience in defending healthcare providers and institutions in complex negligence and wrongful death actions. Before transitioning into medical malpractice defense, Ms. Lowe practiced criminal defense at the Office of the Cook County Public Defender, where she represented minors in juvenile delinquency matters and parents in family-related matters. During her time at the Public Defender’s office, Ms. Lowe tried several cases to verdict and reunified children with their families. Prior to serving as a Public Defender, Ms. Lowe served as a clerk for the Honorable Judge Adam S. Tannenbaum at Florida’s First District Court of Appeal.
Ms. Lowe graduated early from Florida State University College of Law in 2019, where she served as a board member for the FSU Law Review, and as president of the Association of Criminal Justice. In her free-time, Ms. Lowe enjoys serving the larger public through volunteer work and pro-bono efforts, hanging with her dog, hiking, and traveling.
